Measure Front Toe
Front toe measures inward or outward angle at the front tires. Plates flat against the outer sidewalls. Tapes run front and rear under spring tension. Subtract and convert to degrees.
Center the Steering Wheel
String around all four corners of the vehicle. Equal gaps on both sides confirm the steering wheel is centered when the front tires point straight ahead.
Square the Rear Axle
Rear thrust angle checks whether the rear axle is square to the vehicle centerline. Same string method as steer ahead, run on the rear plates.

Measure Toe on the Ground
Kickout plates press against the outer tire sidewalls with the vehicle on its wheels. Two foam strips protect the rim from contact marks. Two grip pads anchor the plate to the ground. Spring-tension tapes run front and rear. Subtract the readings and convert to degrees with the chart printed on the plate.
Measure Toe with the Wheel Off
Hub-mount slots drop over the lower two wheel studs with the wheel removed and the vehicle on a lift or jack stands. Plate seats flush against the hub face, secured with the existing lug nuts. Isolates toe from tire sidewall deformation. Fits common passenger cars, light trucks, and vans.

Hub-Mount Slots
Machined 0.57-inch slots drop over the lower two wheel studs with the wheel removed. Plate seats flush against the hub face, secured with the existing lug nuts. Fits common passenger cars, light trucks, and vans.
Kickout Plate with Padding
Two foam strips across the back protect the rim from contact marks. Two grip pads on the bottom kickout slots anchor the plate to the ground while the tapes apply tension. Three contact points hold the plate flush against the sidewall.
Turn Plate Compatible
Cut-out slot at the bottom clears the ASWG004 and ASWG008 AutoSolo turn plates. Set the front wheels on turn plates, place the toe plates against the sidewalls, and read toe without lifting the wheels or resetting the setup.
Self-Locking Tapes in Dual Scale
Two self-locking tapes read 1/16-inch and MM. Spring tension holds the reading. Subtract the front and rear values and convert to degrees with the chart printed on the plate. No calculator needed.
String Routing for Steer & Thrust
String threads through the plate loops and circles all four corners of the vehicle. Front plates check steering centerline. Rear plates check thrust angle. String and loops included.

THREE ADJUSTMENTS, ONE KIT
The ASTPSETX is a 3-in-1 wheel alignment kit that addresses toe, steer-ahead alignment, and thrust angle as part of the AutoSolo alignment system in a single purchase. Toe is the angle at which tires point inward or outward relative to the vehicle centerline, and it is the adjustment with the most direct effect on tire wear and straight-line stability. Steer-ahead alignment is the process of confirming the steering wheel sits centered when the vehicle travels in a straight line. Thrust angle is the direction the rear axle pushes the vehicle relative to its centerline. A thrust angle that is out of specification causes the vehicle to track diagonally even when the steering wheel appears straight. The kit includes two toe alignment plates, two measuring tapes, and a string to establish the vehicle's reference centerline. It is designed for both front and rear wheel measurement. Correcting all three angles noticeably improves tire wear, handling response, and fuel efficiency.

I’m happy with them, but they have fairly limited use. Not ideal for thicker sidewall or larger tires. I wish they were twice as long to measure with more precision, but then they’d be huge, harder to ship and store, and more prone to bending.

Worked well for correcting steering angle, thrust angle, camber, and toe for the front and rear of my AWD vehicle. You can get it done with just two plates, but to speed up the process and to have more precision, I recommend buying four plates.
AutoSolo Tape Measure with Slide Lock was a good purchase and it works well. It is very heavy duty and retracts very quickly. The numbers are easy to see and read. This is very easy to use and I am happy with the purchase. Recommend.
This is well made, and is accurate measurement. It's compact and is functioning as what we need it for. It measures easily and retracts comfortably.
This AutoSolo tape measure feels quite solid in the hand; the outer case is made of a tough-feeling plastic that seems like it could withstand some bumps and drops. It's a standard 16-foot length tape, and the blade itself is 7/8 inches wide. The tape pulls out smoothly from the case and retracts without any hitches or sticking. Markings on the blade are very clear and easy to read, showing both inches and centimeters, which is convenient. It has the standard sliding lock button on top that you push forward with your thumb to hold the tape securely extended. A particularly nice feature on this one is the finger brake button located underneath – you can press and hold this button to slow down the tape retraction or stop it temporarily without engaging the main lock, which gives you really good control when you're trying to get a precise measurement or retract the tape slowly. Although it might be sold as a specific replacement tape for certain tools, it functions perfectly well as a general-purpose tape measure. Seems like a durable, easy-to-read tape, and that finger brake is a genuinely useful addition.
Okay so this is a pretty cheap but perfectly fine tape measure for around the house. I mean for the low price I think it's a fair deal. No great bargain, but not a rip off either. It's just what it is. Exactly what I expected. The tape measure we've kept in our little tool drawer for years got misplaced, so I ordered this thing in its will do the job fine I've already used it. In this case, three stars is a fair deal, and that's what I'm giving this, three stars.
When you start using it, first thing you might notice is that the locking slider requires a lot of force to lock into place and it sometimes will get stuck. The bolts that lock the ending plate of the tape measure also gives a little too much wiggle room for my liking so measurements could be off by a few mm. It's pretty decent otherwise but I wouldn't use it for something where the measurements need to be absolutely perfect.
As good or better than the S brand. I have probably 6 or more tape measures between my truck, shop and house. They are all the commercial S brand and I have used them for many years. I was surprised at the quality and smooth operation of the tape. It feels solid and can be easily used for a 10+' board without flexing
Great size fits in your hand. It has a good heft to it. Snaps back nicely. It also has a quick stop to hold the tape temporarily.

This one, for the price, is really good. It has a good solid weight to it. The tape comes out smoothly, and pulls back in with a clean SNAP (that can get you if you aren't careful). It has a "break" on the bottom so you can stop it from coming in while you measure something, and it also has a full stop/clamp on the top for your thumb if you want to stop it all together. Inches, Centimeters and Millimeters are. This is a good quality measuring tape. This is a reasonable quality tape measure.It's got a very strong spring, good return. The lock is fairly sturdy and solid. The trigger brake underneath which can slow down or stop the tape which is a helpful feature that's not on every tape measure.It's got three rivets on the hook, so that's pretty sturdy, and it has about 9 ft of stand out fine for tape measure of this price and quality. The rubber over molding will protect the case reasonably well and the whole thing seems fairly well made.I needed a tape measure with metric and standard so the dual scales will come in handy.Overall a decent mid-tier tape measure.
This one is only the 16-foot tape measure, but it is really tough and heavy-duty. Lock works good. I go through a lot of tape measures because almost anything makes them go bad, a small bend in the tape, locks stop working, one drop and they just die. But this one can take a beating and keep on going. Mind you, it is for small jobs as it is only 16'. Perfect for my wood shop. This is not the cheapo you get at the local hardware store. At the store this one is the $30 one with a fancy brand name. Get this one and save your dough.
This is a good tape measure for $10.It is compact, but the width is normal, or maybe a little wide.The wide width allows the tape measure to extend 8 feet without falling, maybe 9 feet very carefully.the max length is 16 feet.The lock works fine, and there is also a finger lock on the bottom, that needs a little pressure to work, and does not work that well with gloves.The tape measure has both imperial, and metric. It has inches, and feet marked, plus 16 inch markers are also there.
This tape measure feels cheaply made, the materials are rough and the finger brake takes a significant amount of force to stop the tape from retracting. Accuracy seems average coming within 1/16th of some other quality tapes I have, and the while metric scale might be situationally nice it generally makes it harder to use and would be better if the imperial markings went fully across the tape. At a current price point of $9.95 I don't see the value here and there are plenty of better options.

Tape measure has some weight to it. I was thinking it was going to be light or cheap but it's not. It's very nice and works great. Top notch quality.

I have slightly mixed feelings on this but they are heavily weighed toward positive.I played around with this for about an hour after receiving it to get a feel for how it worked, how well it would hold up, and general impressions.it's super easy to use, very basic tape measurer.The materials it's made from are pretty cheap feeling which is strange because of the next point.It feels pretty durable? Like the parts don't feel amazing but they do feel well put together and it holds well when locked in place. It's got the weight you want in one of these and, while I wouldn't recommend it, I do think it could hold up to a low/medium drop "reasonably" fine ( would not trust it with a high drop).So, at 10 dollars, I'm going to say ya I think this is a pretty good piece. It's not the best of these I've used at all but it's far better than the cheap garbage I've also used, it's a good "Mid priced" tape measurer and I'd recommend it if you don't want to go all out but do want something decent.
This is a good size ruler for around the house. So many measurements are in centimeters these days, this ruler lets you know side by side what those numbers mean in comparison to inches. It is small but chunky which is what you want in a tape measure.It has a lock that slids down to lock the tape in place.There is also a thumb break on the bottom that temporarly stops the tape so you can scribe a line without locking the ruler in place.I really like the thumb break. This is a cleaver idea that all tape measures should have.
This AutoSolo 16Ft x 7/8In Tape Measure is my first wide tape measure at 7/8 inch, and also my first with a finger brake — I really like both features. The tape works well in all aspects. The numbers and markings are clear and easy to read. I like the 16-inch stud markings and the foot-inch measurements. Every centimeter is marked, and every 10 centimeters is highlighted in red, which is a nice touch. The only issue I had was with the standout — it’s advertised to reach 10 feet, but I was only able to get 9 feet before it bent. Overall, it’s a solid and professional-feeling tape measure. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

This measure tape has been useful for our recent home DIYs. The measure is accurate when put side-by-side with other leading brands. The build quality is also rugged and should last for a while. Another major point is that it features both the imperial and metric systems. The only con is that the fractional are not displayed for ease of reading. For the price range of sub-$10, this measure tape provides good value for all of its features and decent build quality.
Nice tape measure, handy size with a new to me feature of a simple friction brake under the tape measure.That little brake feature on the bottom really makes the tape easier to use.The tape measure also has both Metric and English units.Operates smoothly, weights just over 8 ounces, which is reasonably lightweight.Really nice and handy size for a tape measure and operates very smoothly.Edit: I misspoke on the video and said the length was 26 ft when it is actually 16 ft.
This is a tape measure. Feels nice in your hand and is durable. I really like the finger brake on this makes it very nice if your using it solo. This is a high quality tape measure. I highly recommend.
Good quality measuring tape. The outer housing is nice strong rubber, the tape itself is also professional grade and actually stays when you pull down the clip. I compared this with a few other measure tapes and it seems to be fairly accurate. Not going to lie, based on the picture I assumed there will be three set of measuring tapes, I didn't read description thoroughly, you get only one. Aside from that, excellent quality tape measure, easy to read and nice big numbers/lines.
