Re-string the toe plates
A replacement string kit for the ASTPSETX 3-in-1 toe plates, supplied as 92 feet of low-stretch string.
The stringing method runs a reference line the length of the car, and that line is what lets the toe plates set steer-ahead and thrust angle as well as toe. The line is only as good as the string holding it, so a stretched or frayed string is worth replacing.
This string is high-strength and low-stretch, so it holds tension from one end of the car to the other. The thickness and colour are chosen to stay visible against bodywork, and the smooth surface feeds through the plates without catching.
