These held onto my truck tires very well with little effort on the the turn knob.

works great, be careful to align the pins that clamp on the outside of your wheel, if your wheels are aluminum you can nick/ding them. I put a small piece of painters tape where the pin contacts the wheel to add a layer of protection.

I was aligning a 1940 fat fender Ford and had to remove the tightening knob for clearance in the wheel well. Other than that it worked well.

I have been working on cars both street and race cars for decades. I got tired of tearing up alloy wheels with other devices and bought this tool, this is THE best wheel adaptor/spindle gauge tool that you will ever own. I used it with 19" Apex wheels that I had put on my 2017 Mustang Gt and it did not put a mark on them. I also have used it on a Toyota Yaris with 15" wheels and it worked perfectly on that car also. You can't go wrong with this!

Looks well made. Seems like a good value. Performed validation of accuracy before putting on vehicle. Unfortunately the rotating disk that you fasten your alignment gauge to is not machined properly or the chrome plating is uneven causing disk runout. If this runs out you can't setup to wheel properly (accurately) and you can't depend on your measurements.. One of the pair was better than the other. Using a magnetic laser(which you should use) at a distance of 8' one was off about a 1/4" and the other about 1". Chucking in a lathe and refacing the disk adapters both are now within 1/16" variation. Purchase a laser to check and have a lathe available to correct.

Pour ma part, j'ai fixé un laser sur la platine. Pour moi, ça fonctionne. Pour être équipé comme un pro, il faudrait deux articles. Ne pas oublier de mettre des platines de ripage pour permettre à la roue de bien glisser lors du réglage. Pour ma part, j'ai pris des planches à découper et je mets de l'huile entre les deux. Donc deux planches d’un côté, deux de l’autre, et me voilà équipé de plaques de ripage.

If you do your own alignments this will help greatly along with a magnetic caster/chamber gauge. simple to set up and seems to produce repeatable measurements.

For home shop work, this is very nice and affordable equipment. I had been using hub adapters to attach my caster/camber gauge (had to fabricate several adapters to accommodate various aftermarket wheels for hub attachment).This wheel clamp eliminates the need for hub adapters. Wheels like the Cragar shown in the pics have a hub cap that is held in place by a fastener on the backside (wheel must be removed to remove the hub cap). Using the AutoSolo wheel clamp eliminates the need to remove the wheel and hub cap to do an alignment.

This is great for home alignment. With a set of turn plates you can set castor, camber. Holds onto wheel solid, no slop or play in it.

Good quality - works well

The first arrived poorly packaged and damaged, the seller stepped up and replaced it immediately. The replacement was well packed. During manufacturing, shipping, and anytime this is bumped or dropped, the frame could get twisted out of square. Try not to drop it, treat it like the precision tool it is. Before using, check it on a known flat surface. I used my glass top range. Set it pins down. If it rocks, loosen the 4 large Allens on the rails, rock it until square, tighten and recheck. Also, just like a real alignment machine, you have to compensate these everytime you mount them. I know, it's common sense, but obviously not. I saw a couple review dings about exactly this. This seems almost as well made as the hunter clamps I've used at work. I'm considering buying 3 more to "hang once" and square the entire car at one time. This is perfect for trackside camber checks and adjustments.

These are nicely made pieces. fairly heavy duty. And they did clear the spinners on a Jaguar wire wheel. They have little protective feet that slip over the clamps for traveling/storage. My clamps were not rough as some others have said. I managed to loose two of the protective feet the first week.The unit was well packed and arrived in good condition.

Used this to replace our Quick Trick heads. Would buy again!

You need to get 2 or 4 of these and a magnetic laser level to do the job accurately.For me, this is a real cost saver as mechanics around here can't seem to do it right.

This is a blast from the past. I think I used this same design back when I was first working in a tire /alignment shop. Dealing with struts, a person needs something to attach a caster / camber indicator to so adjusting the strut mount for castor / chamber is relatively easy. Do need a set of toe in / out plates under the front tires to make it even easier to accomplish. Will see how it wears over time. I'm only doing my own stuff, so it could take a while. :)

Very helpful tool. Alignment on my 1968 Buick Electra custom car went smooth. The tool mounted sturdy on my 20in wire wheels.

Use for DIY alignments on classic vehicles, and mounts well to outside of rim without damage. Have to be a little careful installing as needs to be accurate for attaching the camber/caster gauges. I had to do some tweaking and careful measuring to ensure the face of the wheel clamp is indeed parallel with the rim. Works great on classic vehicles...may not be perfect...but I've found going to some modern shops is also not perfect with older vehicles.

I was looking forward to getting accurate readings with this when I ordered it. It looks to be a quality precision built instrument. Some reviews have discussed how the pegs that contact the rims have burrs in them and can damage your rims. I didn't have this problem, mine were nice and smooth. Maybe the manufacturer is starting to listen to us? I found that after checking the alignment on a particular car several times, I found that the readings were different. I thought maybe I had bent rims, so I checked the runout on my rims with a dial gauge and they were normal, so I suspected it may have something to do with the clamp.I laid the clamp with all the pegs installed on a granite countertop as well as a glass table and I was able to rock it back and forth on two opposing legs. I rotated the clamp and repeated several times just to rule out a warped surface, which would have been unlikely given they were glass and granite. Just to rule out an issue with the pegs, I removed them and tried rocking it again and it still rocked as you can see in the video. Poor quality control I guess.With it rocking the way it does, I can't get an accurate reading and if I can't get an accurate reading, what's the point. I want to exchange the one I have for one that isn't warped, but it seems Amazon isn't giving me the option to exchange, only to return. So I would have to blindly buy again and will probably get another warped one, whereas if I exchanged it for a replacement, they're likely to test the unit before sending the replacement. Or maybe I'll get one that isn't warped but the pegs are burred like other reviewers have reported.If I had access to a milling machine, I would mill this myself, but I don't and shouldn't have to.UPDATE: I ordered a new one from Amazon, but waited for it to arrive before sending the one I had back, just in case the replacement had burred pegs, I could switch them out. The new one didn't have the warpage problem. I'm happy with this one. I added two stars. Would have given it 5 if I didn't have to deal with these problems. I'll just say if you buy one, make sure you check it for warpage as soon as it arrives.
