Adjustable Steering Wheel Holder & Brake Pedal Depressor

These tools are a great help when DIYing alignments at home. There was no assembly required and they're easy to use. The build quality is good and they should last a while if used for their designated purpose. They're a definite time saver and I absolutely recommend.

Both of these tools functioned great for me. I used the steering wheel holder when I was changing a steering rack and had no issues, and it was nice not needing to use masking tape or the seat belt to hold it still. The other one was perfect for holding the engine at 3000rpm to do an idle relearn so I could monitor the cooling fans. Super easy to use design, kind of like caulk gun and great value.

First off, if you are attempting to do an at home wheel alignment this steering wheel holder will make your life so much better. Prior this I was using a strap to attempt to keep the steering wheel centered with varying levels of success. For the steering wheel holder alone and how well it works I almost want to give this 5 stars, but the brake pedal depressor is another story.The pedal depressor will have a hard time depending on the steering wheel of the vehicle and the angle it sits at. If your car is designed with a steep angle of the wheel versus the location of the brake pedal it will just keep sliding off either the wheel or from the pedal. The depressor end is just a rod with a rubber cap, but it needs something more substantial to make contact with the pedal. The steering wheel end would work better if the width of the supports were adjustable.Quite frankly the brake pedal depressor would scare me to use if I were trusting it to keep the brakes depressed to keep the vehicle from rolling. It just isn't stable enough. So for this I am removing one star for the questionable design. However, if you're just trying to prevent a wheel from spinning (for example to loosen or torque lug nuts) then it should work well enough for this task.The tools are both overall fairly easy to use but the mechanism to rachet and the button to release are a bit clunky and are sometimes stick / bind up.Overall they are useful tools, the steering wheel holder is something I will reuse often, but I will likely avoid the brake depressor. I think the value here is just OK, I would recommend perhaps just buying the steering wheel holder separately and looking into a different brake depressor if you really need one.

with two cars and the rising price of auto care I wanted to give this a shot. I read all of the reviews to see how others had completed things or their struggles. I read the directions. I still felt I could use some support with doing this so went to my father’s house for him to oversee things. We followed the directions mainly. The only bump we ran in to was the tightening and clamping fully at some points. Adjusted and retried. In total we spent over an hour working on this. Just making sure we go things correct. I can see a noticeable difference from where things were, that is the biggest indication that this works. I am very pleased! Great ease of use for at home auto care. No experience needed. I can get behind that!

This is a very helpful set for working on cars by yourself. Especially if you do your own work, it can be hard to get things set up right and stay still, these make sure that happens. They are pretty well built, and work quite well at holding the pedal or steering wheel, especially the pedals. If you live in a state with a strict annual inspection, the brake pedal depresser alone is super helpful. The steering wheel holder is also pretty helpful, but can slip with enough force, which may or may not be an issue, depending on what you're working on. But for many light repairs, this works fine, and is a helpful set to have on hand. They are smartly designed to be easy to use and remove.

This interesting little device arrived intact, well protected, in new condition, and in a timely manner within a simple-looking, branded box. The instructions are clearly printed on colorful paper slips that appear professionally produced. The devise it designed to fit in any car or truck and to hold the steering wheel or compress the brake when work is being performed. It is pretty effective as long as it is properly used. Overall, I am happy with it.

If you're making minor alignment adjustments this is an essential tool to keep your steering wheel straight. This also works great when you are alone and doing brake light checks. For bleeding you can also use the brake Pole to keep pressure on the brake pedal. Good quality nice to have in my toolkit

Wow, this thing actually works! Very well built and functions 100% as one would expect. I was really surprised at the quality of these two tools. They aren't something you would need often but when you do, this will save the day! Very easy to use, installation is kind of like the same mechanism a caulking gun has; you just squeeze the handle and it advances the tool. To release it, there is a thing to depress on the opposite side of the handle. They look snazzy and are just all around a great couple of tools for that one specific job. 10/10, highly recommend and would order again!

I have used these before just not with the locking feature these have. They work much like a caulking gun does and hold really well. I included a few photos showing how I used them in my truck. Combine this with the alignment tool you can also find on here and you can do most types of alignments and feel assured the steering wheel will not move and all brakes will be locked. I no longer work professionally as a mechanic but still do most of my own work now that I am retired and these will come in handy when I do need to work on my vehicles. If you are working in a shop these are worth the money and better than what I used to use,

This pair of tools from the AUTOSOLO Store are built much better than they have to be. They are for depressing the brake pedal, and for holding the steering wheel , while you are doing other things to the vehicle. Depressing the brake pedal so you can check the tail lights without a helper, Holding the steering wheel straight while you check the toe-in or wheel alignment. You can keep on working instead of trying to find a he3lper, or interrupt a co-worker.The fit and finish on these assemblies is excellent. The chrome is very well done. I can find nothing I don't like about these tools.
