Camber Is the Lean Angle of Your Wheel
Camber is the tilt of your wheel inward or outward from vertical, viewed from the front of the vehicle. Most vehicles run a small amount of negative camber from factory. Camber affects tire contact and wear. Too much tilt in either direction wears the edge of the tire faster than the center.
Negative, Zero, and Positive Camber
Negative camber tilts the wheel top inward toward the vehicle. Zero is vertical. Positive tilts the top outward. Most street vehicles run slight negative camber from factory. Worn bushings or control arms shift camber out of spec. The gauge shows the current angle so you know where to adjust.
Caster is the tilt of your steering axis.

Caster is the forward or rearward tilt of the steering axis, viewed from the side. Positive caster tilts the top of the axis rearward. Most modern vehicles run positive caster from factory. Caster affects straight-line tracking and how well the steering returns to center after a turn.
Negative, Neutral, and Positive Caster
Positive caster is rearward tilt and is standard on most modern vehicles. It adds steering weight and return-to-center feel. Negative caster is forward tilt and reduces steering return. Neutral caster is vertical. Most factory specs call for 3 to 7 degrees of positive caster on passenger vehicles.

El medidor digital de camber y cáster AutoSolo ASDCG203 mide los dos ángulos de suspensión que determinan cómo apoyan los neumáticos delanteros sobre la carretera y cómo vuelve la dirección al centro. El camber es la inclinación de la rueda hacia dentro o hacia fuera respecto a la vertical, vista desde la parte delantera del vehículo. El cáster es la inclinación hacia delante o hacia atrás del eje de dirección, vista desde el lateral. El medidor se fija con imanes potentes directamente sobre bujes de hierro fundido o discos de freno, y también es compatible con la abrazadera de rueda AutoSolo para tomar lecturas desde la llanta en ruedas de aleación. El camber se lee directamente en la pantalla LCD como un número. El cáster se mide con un procedimiento de barrido: gire la rueda hacia un lado, pulse el botón de cero del medidor y después gírela hacia el otro lado. El número que aparece en la pantalla es la lectura de cáster. El equipo conserva la última lectura tras apagarse, de modo que puede comparar los ángulos antes y después de cada ajuste de suspensión sin tener que anotar los valores en cada paso. El medidor se entrega en un maletín protector para transportarlo entre trabajos.
