Handle
Bolts on with the hex key in the box. Holds the clamp on the rim while your other hand tightens the knob.
One hand holds the clamp. The other turns the knob.
The handle bolts to the clamp body with the hex key in the box and sits where your hand lands when you lift the clamp. Hook the top pins over the rim edge, hold the clamp seated with the handle, and turn the tension knob until all four pins sit on the rim. About 30 seconds on, the same off.
Mount in four moves. About 30 seconds a wheel.
Pins Face Inward
Set the four locator pins in the frame slots with the tips pointing inward, so they catch the outer edge of the rim.
Top Pins on the Rim
Open the clamp a little wider than the rim. Hold it by the handle and hook the top two pins over the edge.
All Four Pins Seated
Line up the bottom pins and turn the tension knob until all four pins sit firmly on the rim.
Confirm the Mount
Press on the clamp by hand. If it does not move, it is mounted. Without a 3D aligner, zero the plate before you dock the gauge.

WHY THE CLAMP MATTERS
The ONYX PRO clamp is the mounting point between a wheel alignment gauge and the wheel, so how it seats decides every reading taken from it. Four locator pins seat on the rim edge, and the handle holds the clamp against the wheel while your other hand tightens the knob. The adapter plate's plug drops into the 16 mm bore and a thumb screw presses it against the wall of the bore, so the plate stays put through a caster sweep and locks and releases by hand. The chrome plated steel face takes any AutoSolo magnetic camber caster gauge. The clamp fits 11 to 25 inch rims, with 78 mm of hub clearance on the 88 mm pins in the box and 120 mm on the ASWG001-EX4 dually set. Steel alloy under a matte black finish shows less of the grime a satin tool wears. With the Runout Compensation adapter, a tilt plate on three jack screws lets you set the measuring face true to the wheel's axis before you read camber or caster.
